It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas Time! I could give you a million reasons why this is the best time of year! First and foremost, it is the birth of our Savior, Jesus. I would be one lost soul without Him in my life. I love that everyone stops to celebrate Him this time of year!

I also love ALL the ammenities that come with Christmas! The songs, the movies, the decorations, the comfort food, the sweets, the family time, the gifts, the parties, and the snow! Yes, we got our first bit of snow this week in Atlanta and it feels like a Winter Wonderland!

I've been told that I can go a little overboard with Christmas, but quite frankly, I don't care. It only comes around once a year! So until December 25, my pandora will remain on "Michael Buble Christmas," the Glee Christmas soundtrack will blare in my car, and all of my favorite Christmas movies will be watched.

Meet our first Christmas tree. We call him, "Frasier Vern"!

She looked a whole lot bigger in the Home Depot parking lot!

Getting ready to go to the Chick-fil-A Marketing Christmas party! We went to the Atlanta History Center this year!

We carpooled with the Neslages and went to the Blue Ridge Grill afterwards for a little "Christmas Cheer"!

We've been watching our AUBURN TIGERS become the SEC Champions!!!!

Clayton has been full of surprises this Christmas! I came home from work one night last week and he totally surpised me. He greeted me at the door with a package and told me it was an early Christmas gift. I opened it up to discover a personalized ornament for our frist Christmas together AND tickets to the Nutcracker at the Fox Theater! I was so shocked! (Of course I cried.) I couldn't believe that he thought about this all on his own! He made me so proud! What a thoughtful husband!

On our way to the Nutcracker! We had a wonderful dinner downtown and then had drinks at the Georgia Terrace before going to see the Nutcracker. This was such a neat night for me! My grandparents used to take Allie and me to see the Nutcracker every Christmas when were growing up.

I loved that I got to share this with Clayton, even though he so lovingly explained that he could probably only tolerate the Nutcracker once every five years. :)

P.S. I cut my hair! I have to get used to styling short hair, again!

The Fox was decorated for Christmas! It was beautiful!

This was my first and last picture from inside the Fox. (Notice the kind usher woman coming to inform me that this would be my last photo.)

We've loved receiving Christmas cards from all our nearest and dearest friends! Keep em coming, people!

We've been decorating...

We even got a stocking for our little nugget!

We've been busy trying to stay warm and have been enjoying the "splurges" of the season!

We've also been baking up a storm!

These little beauties below are a recipe I stole from my dear friend, Brittany Hutchinson. If you love the peppermint Hershey kisses as much as I do, then you will love these!

1. Set oven to 400 degrees.
2. Lay out Snyder's square pretzels. Place a Hershey kiss on each pretzel.
3. Place in the over for about a minute or two.
4. Take them out (slightly melted) and stick an M&M on top!

These are great for all you sweet and salty lovers out there!

Allie and I have been baking and decorating lots of cookies, too! Yum!

I hope you and your family are enjoying this holiday season!!

Our First Thanksgiving!

This year was my first Thanksgiving as a Wells! We started the holiday "trade-off" last year, so this was also my first Thanksgiving in Tallahassee! Oh, and Jamie's first road trip as well!

When we arrived in Tally, we were greeted by our new little cousin, Hudson and his mama, Nicole! Look at these cuties sitting still for the camera!
Everyone pray for Hudson and Nicole this month....Hudson has to have surgery on his arm in Gainesville. We're lifting up prayers to the Hagerty family and Huddle Bugs!
You would think labs are natural swimmers... but our Jamie is not your ordinary lab. You would also think that pools in Florida would still be warm this time of year. Nothing stops Clay.
Poor Jambo....Not so sure about being in the water.
 "I don't think I like this, Dad."
"I am much happier on dry land, thankyouverymuch."
She was such a little trooper!
She earned a new Christmas toy after facing her fears in the pool! Thank you Kiki and Pops!
"I could sit here all day and watch the squirrels!"
Off to our first Thanksgiving dinner of the day! Jamie likes to be up front in the action!
One meal down, one meal to go. Nothing like a little nap in the car.
We got to play with Hudson again at our next Thanksgiving dinner! We're still learning to share our toys.
 Cousins.
Somebody's worn out. Jamie loves to snuggle with Pops!
 Jamie loves to kiss Kiki!
On Friday, the Mitchells came over to play before the Auburn game!
 We got doggy Christmas cookies!!
"I chased everybody around the pool (rather than in the pool)!"
Saturday, we went to the UF/FSU Football Game!

Brittany and Joe: Our other favorite "house divided" married couple!
 Cousins!

 Father & Son
We're so happy to be at the UF Game that Auburn beat Alabama the day before! :)

Rapid Roundup!

If you watch Glee, then you know how they do a very rapid run-through of the previous episodes. Well treat this blog post the same way. Read through this... "And that's what you missed on Glee The Wells!"

In October, Amy started working full time again in the Chick-fil-A Marketing Department. She's working on the Kid's Meal program and is thrilled to be impacting over 4,000,000 little Chick-fil-A eaters each year!

Then Amy turned the big 2-7. Clayton invited her friends over for drinks, dinner, and (of course) dancing.

They also had a celebratory birthday brunch with Mom (Suzie) and Sister (Allie). Allie bought Amy her favorite cupcakes.

Clayton's been trying to fill the fly-fishing void since he left North Georgia. He's tried out the Chattahoochie, but no fish have been caught at this point.

Saturdays have been spent watching lots of football. Amy is extremely thrilled that Auburn has finished their season 12-0. Amy's favorite new phrase isWar Cam Eagle.

Family visited from Tallahasse, FL.

Family visited from Melbourne, FL. Amy's Dad (Jaybird) packed a standing rib roast in suitcase and brought it on the plane. It was worth the risk.

The Wells have enjoyed the colors in the trees and have managed to put pumpkin into everything they eat. Even pancakes.

And then they went to get their dog back...Stay tuned for the next episode!
